Patient Accounts Representative III-Norwich CT-Backus Corporation
Prepares, processes and maintains all bills for HMO and BCBS carriers. High level of payer contract knowledge required. Ensures appropriate payment of all claims per payer contracts. Acts as a liaison between patient, doctor and insurance carriers regarding account issues. Accurately posts contractual allowances and adjustments to appropriate accounts. Analyzes, processes and resolves credits for all accounts. Education: Requires high school diploma or equivalent. Some college preferred. Experience: Requires 2 to 4 years experience in a hospital or healthcare business office managed care environment. Previous experience in customer service, collections or billing preferred.
