Surgical Physician Assistant-Norwich CT-Backus Corporation
The Physician Assistant (PA) is assigned to Surgical Services for the purpose of providing patient care services within the PA’s scope of practice. The PA shall work under the supervision of a Supervising Physician (as that term is defined in the Supervisory Agreement), who shall have oversight, control, and direction of the services performed by the PA. In addition, the PA may perform delegated functions as directed by a Qualified Surgeon (as that term is defined in the Supervisory Agreement). The PA shall practice in accordance with the Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules & Regulations, and hospital and Medical Staff policies. The responsibilities of the PA include but are not limited to the following: to provide first and second assisting in all surgical specialties and subspecialties; providing clinical services to patients within the services line within the scope of their clinical privileges granted by the Board;
